Privacy Policy
BIC Research (bicresearch.in) is operated by Yashdeep Vashisht, a sole proprietorin India, who decides how your personal data is used (the “data fiduciary” under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). We collect as little as we need to run the site, and we never sell your data or show ads.
1. What we collect

Card, UPI and bank details never reach us. Razorpay collects them directly in its own secure checkout.
We also see anonymous page-view statistics (pages visited, country, device type) through Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and debugging.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account, sign you in and show the plan you've paid for.
- To take payments and handle renewals, cancellations and refunds.
- To send the weekly newsletter, only if you signed up for it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To reply to you, and to send essential account or billing messages.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We use your data with your consent (given when you sign up, subscribe or join the newsletter) and for these purposes only. You can withdraw consent at any time, as described in section 6.
3. Who processes it for us
These providers handle data only to run their part of the service:

Loading the site fetches fonts from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. We use AI services (Anthropic and Google) to help draft market research. No personal data is sent to them.
Some of these providers store data outside India (Singapore and the United States), as Indian law allows. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open. Deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
- Payment records: kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires (up to 8 years), even after the account is deleted.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you, and who we've shared it with;
- correct or update it;
- delete it and close your account;
- withdraw consent (for example, stop newsletter emails);
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
Email support@bicresearch.in from your account email. We act on requests within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and access to the database is restricted to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Age
The site is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and email account holders before the change takes effect.
